Indonesia Held The Initial Meeting for IJSO 2016
As a host country of International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2016, Indonesia, represented by Directorate of Junior Secondary Education Development of Ministry of Education and Culture as a main host institution, held the initial meeting on January 20th 2016 as a first step to conduct the preparation for the precious competition. It was also meant as a token of determination to preserve the continuance of IJSO that had been successfully presented in many countries around the globe since it was first conducted in 2004.
The meeting was attended by the Director for Directorate of Junior Secondary Education Development Dr.Supriano, M.Ed ; the chairman of IJSO 2005 Prof. Kamsul Abraha; The first President of International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) Prof. Dr. Masno Ginting; the representation of academic science community consisted of several honorable science academicians from Indonesian reputable universities; and the local organizing committee.
As a result of affable adept efficient discussion it was, the initial meeting culminated in these following points:
- The chairman of the 13th IJSO 2016 is Prof. Kamsul Abraha.
- The advisor of the 13th IJSO 2016 is Prof. Dr. Masno Ginting.
- The 13th IJSO 2016 will be held in the island of Bali, Indonesia on December 2nd to 11th 2016.
- The slogan of the 13th IJSO 2016 is “Science for Creative Innovation”.
- The official website of the 13th IJSO 2016 is planned to be launched on March 1st 2016.
